The GENTLE YOGA CLASS on Friday afternoon at 1.30pm was originally a yoga for seniors session but it has evolved quite a bit. This is for people of any age who require a practise with lots of modifications IF REQUIRED. It is a restorative, slow practise with focus on yoga for healthy backs and minds. Afterwards we have a cup of tea and biscuit and put the world to rights (not compulsory!)
Noodle Performing Arts
Thursday: 4.00pm – 6.00pm
Does your child like to sing? Dance? Act? Noodle Performing Arts classes are for children aged 3-11. Informal and fun, these classes are an ideal way to nurture your child's talent
This session at Altrincham Football Club runs from 10.30-11.30am on Wednesdays. There next course will begin on Wednesday 27th February 2019 and will run for 6 weeks. You can book the course online via the Altrincham FC Community Hall website and the cost is £30 (you will be able to 'carry over' one week).
Some of the time will be spent practising yoga specifically for post-natal recovery and also to help re-claim space in your body and help counteract the effects of time spent nursing, feeding and carrying your baby. Depending on the age of your baby we will also be practising baby massage and yoga influenced poses that can enhance development, ease digestion and release tension. This time will help to deepen your connection and as well as communicating with your baby through massage, movement and songs we will be practising sonic massage (mantras). The emphasis is on a friendly, non-judgemental and supportive practise and environment which is also a great opportunity to make friends.
The GENERAL YOGA CLASS is Monday at 7.30pm so straight after pregnancy yoga - this means there are plenty of pillows and bean bags around in case you are feeling in need of a major chill-out! Otherwise, this class is suitable for those who have some experience of yoga and enjoy a stronger physical practise.
Monday: 6:15pm – 7:15 pm
The PREGNANCY YOGA CLASS is Monday at 6.15pm and everyone is welcome from 15 weeks right through to birth. It is a friendly, supportive group. As well as yoga postures that can help ease and support you physically, we practise breathing and meditation which will help you throughout pregnancy, birth and beyond. You do not need to have practised yoga previously. There are mats, bolsters, blankets etc provided and there is always a drink/biscuit available.
