Back to Yoga

The ‘Back to Yoga’ class runs every Monday at 7.00 pm, for approximately an hour. This class is absolutely perfect if you are feeling in need of a major chill-out and perhaps may have been out of the yoga game for a while.

Otherwise, this class is suitable for those who have some experience of yoga and enjoy a stronger physical practice.

Pregnancy Yoga

We are delighted to announce that our in-house yoga instructor Jackie will be putting on a specialised pregnancy yoga session from September onwards. Read below to find out more details.

Pregnancy yoga is a wonderful opportunity for you to take time out.  From 15 weeks right through to term you can enjoy an hour of yoga which is modified for you and your baby. Practicing physical postures will help to feel balanced, strong, and relaxed whilst the breathing and mudras will enable you to cope with the challenges of pregnancy and connect you to your deeper, more intuitive self.  You don't need to have any yoga experience to benefit from these classes.

As well as meeting other mums to be in a friendly, non-judgemental environment (with a cup of tea) - we usually spend some time coming into the present moment using breath awareness and mindful meditation.  Once you are feeling calm, confident, and relaxed we move towards a more physical practice which will be modified as you need it to be depending on your stage of pregnancy and how you feel on the day.

Classical yoga postures and flows such as cat (marjariasana), warriors (virabhadrasana), tree (vrksasana), etc  are all modified so that you can practise yoga safely which will help you maintain your levels of flexibility, strength and vitality. We will practise mudra, mantra and breathing (pranayama) techniques that will become second-nature to you (wonderful 'tools' for helping you to remain calm, steady and focussed) and then we will finish with a lovely yoga nidra (deep relaxation).

The class is held on a Monday 5:45pm
