Matchday Charity

Hey, you should totally check out I AM Celebrating Autism this Saturday, January 24th!

I AM Celebrating Autism isn't just your average charity. This group from Greater Manchester has spent over 50 years helping autistic people and their families live better, more connected, and independent lives. It started as a small support group of parents and has since become a key part of the local autism community, offering real help to individuals aged 10 and up, along with their loved ones and family.

 Here's what they actually do:

One-on-One Support: They offer special coaching that helps people feel more confident, learn life skills, feel good emotionally, and become independent. This is because everyone's experience with autism is different.

Social Group Activities: From clubs to support groups, they fight loneliness and give people real chances to make friends, have fun, and feel like they belong.

Family & Carer Support: It's tough to support someone with autism every single day. I AM runs support groups, shares info, and gives real-world advice to those who are taking care of others.

Workplace & Community Help: They also help local businesses and autistic adults support autistic employees in the workplace. They also create places where being neurodiverse isn't just okay, it's valued.

And here's the thing: I AM doesn't just tell people what to do - they work with them. They stand up for neurodiversity, push for real understanding, and keep showing that with the right help, autistic people can do well, contribute, and live full, exciting lives.

Come join us on Saturday, January 24th, at Altrincham FC. Enjoy the game day excitement and support this fantastic local charity. Whether you give money, tell a story, or just cheer them on, you'll be helping to change lives right here in Greater Manchester.
