What a day for the U11 football team from Stamford Park Primary School.
After winning the Altrincham FC Community Sports Primary School tournament in early 2025, they went onto to represent Altrincham FC at the North West finals, Held at Marine FC.
After coming in the top two, they progressed to the National Finals in York, where they played against the best teams the Northern clubs had to offer and triumphed in the final to set up an amazing day at Wembley.
After an exciting week where they were presented with their shirts for the game by Altrincham FC Manager Phil Parkinson, who also had some words of wisdom for the team, as they prepared for their day at Wembley.
It was fitting that Altrincham FC Community Sports Head Coach AJ & Stamford Park Primary Teaching Assistant Sam Heathcote had the responsibility of coaching the boys on the day , having work with 6 out of the 8 boys since they were 3 and starting their football journey at Alty Mini Kickers before progressing to junior football and school football.
After a tense and tight game, Jacob came up with an unstoppable finish to give Alty the win and the opportunity to climb those many Wembley steps to the Royal box and claim their trophy!
Well done boys, we are all so proud of you!!
Come on Alty.
